A former Governor of Anambra State, Chimaroke Nnamani has revealed the reason the South East should support and negotiate with the incoming administration.
Nnamani, who was recently expelled from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over alleged anti-party activities, has been consistent about his support for the president-elect, of Bola Tinubu.
Following his expulsion, the former governor announced his decision to dump the PDP on account of irreconcilable differences with the national leadership of the party.
In a statement on Thursday, Nnamani said the South East should negotiate with the Tinubu government for national resources and political largesse for the benefit of the people of the region.
He stated that Tinubu’s administration would be fair to the people of the South East, adding that the former governor of Lagos has the experience to govern the country.
The Senator representing Enugu South in the National Assembly said Tinubu has won the election, and anyone aggrieved should go to court to contest the outcome of the poll.
He added that Tinubu has more than enough experience to run the affairs of Nigeria in a manner that will give all sections of Nigeria a sense of belonging.
He said: “Tinubu has won the election. If anybody has any reason to think otherwise, the courts are there to adjudicate. The courts are there as part of the electioneering process.
“What I expect our people to do is to align with the incoming administration, negotiate like others for national resources and political largesse for the benefit of our citizens.
“A Tinubu administration will be fair, just and equitable in the allocation of resources to every part of Nigeria.”
