The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has revealed the reason nobody in his village, Ifewara, Osun state, died from Covid 19 despite failure to wear a face mask.
Speaking during the ongoing 70th Annual Convention of the church, the clergyman stated that survival does not depend on safety procedures but on divine protection.
He said during his visits to the village he never saw anyone wearing face masks yet nobody died from the pandemic
He said: “I think it was yesterday I was asking the workers, are you alive today because you took good care during the pandemic? Is that why you are still alive?
“I told them and said, throughout the period, I never saw a single fellow wearing a mask in my village, Ifewara, Osun State. I never saw one and I went home several times and you know what? Not a single one of them died. Who took care? God.”
Redemption Camp Renamed
Adeboye has said that the Redemption Camp would now be known as Redemption City, Naija News reports.
He said that the Redemption Camp will henceforth carry the tag of a city, just like the Vatican City in Rome.
The ring road in the Camp was also named after the founder of the church Pastor Josiah Akindayomi.
