The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC‘s Acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu has said that the anti-graft agency is fighting powerful forces in the country.
Magu further stated that the commission will do anything within its power to wage war against corruption.
He stated this at the 3rd African Anti-Corruption Day, held in Abuja while noting that it hasn’t been easy to retrieve stolen funds and assets
He said, “The forces we are against are powerful because they have a lot of stolen funds with them and enough resources to frustrate investigation and prosecution.
“But we are determined to lead the fight against corruption. To get these funds and assets back has become a problem.
