What Presidency Said About Leaked List Of Buhari’s Ministers’ Portfolios

Presidency Denies Online Ministerial Portfolios

The Presidency has denied the list making rounds on social media on the portfolio assigned to Ministers-Designate by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Recall the Senate on Tuesday, completed the screening of 43 nominees sent in by the president and confirmed all of them.

It took the lawmakers 5 straight legislative days to complete the screening of ministerial nominees.

Naija News reports the lawmakers had to postpone their annual vacation in order to complete the screening. The legislators have already adjourned plenary till September 24.

Reacting to the purported list on social media, Buhari’s Special Assistant on New media, Bashir Ahmad, told Nigerians to disregard any list of ministers’ portfolio making the rounds on social media.

According to him, President Buhari will announce the portfolios during the inauguration of the confirmed ministers.

Ahmad on his Twitter page wrote: “So someone makes a list of Ministers-Designate and assigned portfolio for them. The assigned list is now trending on WhatsApp as usual.

“DISREGARD any list please Nigerians. Portfolio will be announced by Mr. President after their inauguration as Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
