Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen has made a successful return to training with his Turkish Super Lig club, Galatasaray, after having been sidelined due to illness.

Victor Osimhen had to miss the team’s crucial Turkish Cup match against Istanbul Basaksehir on Wednesday, which ended in a hard-fought 2-2 draw.

Despite his absence, Osimhen showed his support from the sidelines, actively cheering on his teammates as they battled for a place in the next round of the tournament.

Now fully recovered, the 26-year-old striker is poised to rejoin the squad and contribute to their campaign.

Since joining the Yellow and Reds on loan from Napoli last summer, Osimhen has made a significant impact on the team, boasting an impressive record of 13 goals and five assists in just 16 appearances. His skill and agility on the field have proven vital for Galatasaray’s attacking line.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles winger, Kelechi Iheanacho is attracting attention from several clubs as Premier League teams Wolverhampton Wanderers and Ipswich Town have initiated preliminary discussions to secure his services.

Following a stint with Sevilla, where he was permitted to seek a loan move this month, Iheanacho has generated interest not only from these two clubs but from various teams across Europe. However, Wolves and Ipswich appear to be leading the race for his signature.

Iheanacho, who previously left Leicester City on a free transfer to join Sevilla last summer, has found the net three times in 11 appearances for the Spanish side this season.

The 28-year-old forward’s current situation is notable as both Wolves and Ipswich currently find themselves in the relegation zone of the Premier League, sitting at 17th and 18th positions respectively.

The prospect of bringing in a player of Iheanacho’s caliber could be pivotal for either club’s fight to stay in the top tier of English football.
