The home to the catholic Pontiff and leader, Vatican has confirmed its first case of the coronavirus on Friday.
Naija News learnt that a member of the Vatican’s staff tested positive for coronavirus amid fears for the Pope’s health. All outpatient services at the Vatican’s health clinic were all suspended in order to sanitize the environments.
Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said in a communique. “The emergency room remains working.”
Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni also said the city state’s emergency services will continue, adding that the Vatican had informed Italian health authorities.
It comes as worldwide cases are nearly 100,000 with 3,383 deaths, although these figures are feared to underestimate the reality.
