Unai Emery Speaks On Players Arsenal Will Sign During January Transfer Window

Emery Reveals Arsenal January Transfer Plans

Arsenal head coach, Unai Emery has given an indication of what to expect from the London club during the current January transfer window.

With the transfer window already in full swing, transfer questions dominated Emery’s interaction with newsmen on Thursday ahead of his team’s premier league clash with West Ham on Saturday.

Notably, Naija News understands the Arsenal boss categorically stated that the club will only be signing players on loan during the January transfer window.

In his words when asked on the players the club may likely sign, he said: “we cannot sign permanently. We can only loan players. Only loan players.”

Emery also touched on the future of Aaron Ramsey, who as earlier reported by Naija News, is understood to have agreed a deal with Juventus and is expected to move on a free transfer at the end of the current season after failing to secure a new contract with Arsenal.

“It’s an individual situation rather than the team. My idea and focus, I say to him every day, is that we need his performance for us. In the last match I was very happy with him. I asked in the last match at Blackpool if he is okay to help us play and he said, ‘Yeah, coach, I want to play” and he played with a very big behaviour and commitment to us. After, his future belongs to him, his family and agent.”

“Every day he’s here with us, he’s working very well. I want his behaviour and his focus to be on West Ham on Saturday.”

“I cannot say more about his situation. The most important thing is that Aaron Ramsey is with us. His future I respect a lot because he has a very private decision but he is with us every day, and I repeat that I am very happy with him” the coach said about Ramsey as reported on the club’s website.
