Top Nigerian Footballers To Watch Out For In 2024-2025 Europa League

Some top Nigerian footballers will be on display as the 2024-2025 UEFA Europa League campaign commences today, September 25.

Some of the top Nigerian footballers that will be on display include Victor Osimhen, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Cyriel Dessers, and a host of others.

While Igoh Ogbu won’t be available for PFK Ludogorets against Slavia Prague, and Umar Sadiq won’t be available for Real Sociedad against OGC Nice, same with Terem Moffi of OGC Nice, due to fitness issues, at least five top Nigerian Footballers will be on display in the Europa League this week.

Below are the top Nigerian footballers to watch out for in this week’s Europa League campaign:

Victor Osimhen (Galatasaray vs. PAOK Thessaloniki)

Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen is expected to perform well for Galatasaray against PAOK Thessaloniki. Despite a long transfer process, Osimhen has had a strong start with Galatasaray, providing two assists in two Turkish Super Lig games.

Fisayo Dele-bashiru (Dinamo Kiev vs. Lazio)

Dele-Bashiru, who joined Lazio on loan, will look to make his debut in the Europa League. Lazio has had a good start to the season, scoring in 13 straight games.

Bright Osayi-Samuel (Fenerbahce vs. Union Saint-Gilloise)

Osayi-Samuel will be in action for Fenerbahce against Union Saint-Gilloise. He was part of Fenerbahce’s last UEFA Champions League campaign.

Cyriel Dessers, Leon Balogun (Malmö FF vs Rangers)

Dessers is expected to play for Rangers against Malmö. Balogun may not feature in the match due to fitness issues.

Chuba Akpom (Ajax vs. Beşiktaş)

Akpom is expected to lead Ajax’s attack against Beşiktaş. He has been in good form, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
