Tinubu Reveals Agreement He Had With Buhari Before ‘Making’ Him President In 2015 (Video)

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has revealed that he had an agreement with President Muhammadu Buhari before supporting him to emerge President of Nigeria in 2015.

Tinubu, a 2023 presidential aspirant stated that Buhari then as a candidate had already given up hopes of emerging as a democratically elected President of Nigeria after contesting and failing on several occassions.

The APC leader however said he went to Buhari in Katsina and agreed to work with him to emerge as the President of Nigeria on the condition that he would take care of the Yoruba people in the country.

Naija News Tinubu stated this while addressing APC delegates in Abeokuta, Ogun State on Thursday.

As earlier reported by Naija News, it was at the meeting that Tinubu also boasted of the roles he played in making Muhammadu Buhari president of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo as Buhari’s running mate and Dapo Abiodun the Ogun State Governor.

Speaking in Yoruba language, he said partly in the video: “If not me that led the war front, Buhari wouldn’t have emerged. He contested first, second and third times, but lost. He even said on television that he won’t contest again.

“But I went to his home in Katsina, I told him you would contest and win, but you won’t joke with the matters of the Yorubas.”
