Terrorists Release Four Kidnapped Female Students Of Zamfara College

Bandit terrorists have released four abducted students of the College of Health Science and Technology in Tsafe, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Naija News had reported that the gunmen had in the early hours of Wednesday attacked a hostel located outside the school campus and kidnapped five female students of the college.

According to the Deputy Provost of the college, Jamilu Lawal, the female kidnapped students were released unhurt on Thursday night.

Lawal disclosed that no ransom was paid to secure the release of the students, adding that they have been taken to the hospital for medical examination.

Confirming the development, the state Police Spokesman, Mohammed Shehu said that four female students regained their freedom.

Shehu revealed that the female students were medically checked, debriefed by the police and have been reunited with their families.

He, however, disclosed that one of the victims had earlier escaped from the terrorists while they were been kidnapped from their hostel.

Shehu, however, failed to confirm whether ransom was paid to secure the release of the students.

“It is true, the four abducted students have regained their freedom, medically checked, debriefed by the police and reunited with their families.

“We are not aware of any ransom paid,” Shehu told TheCable on Friday.
