Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho has warned against another world war, Naija News reports
Igboho made this known during a live video, which has surfaced after he was released by the Government of Republic of Benin on Monday, after about 231 days in detention.
Naija News earlier reports that the activist was released on Monday to a Yoruba Leader and Leader of the Umbrella body of Yoruba Self-determination Groups, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Prof Banji Akintoye and a French Language Expert/Deputy Alana of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Professor Wale Adeniran
This was made known in a statement to Naija News on Monday by the Communications Secretary to Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Mr. Maxwell Adeleye.
In the video, the embattled activist who earlier during the live video thanked his fans for their support, was captured discussing the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia.
He said, “Let’s hope that this Ukraine crisis won’t lead to a third world war. May God not let us witness war in the world”.
Recall, Igboho, was arrested in Benin’s capital, Cotonou on accusations of “criminal association”, in July 2, 2021.
According to his lawyer, the Oduduwa republic agitator will not be allowed back to Nigeria until the completion of his case.
