Sokoto State Governor,Tambuwal Confirms Deaths Of Three COVID-19 Victims

The Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal has recorded three deaths of COVID-19 in the state.

Naija News learnt that Tambuwal made this known in a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Muhammad Bello on Tuesday night.

He said three out of the 10 people who tested positive for coronavirus in the state had died.

The statement read, “Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has announced the death of three people as a result of the COVID-19 infection. All three victims, according to the governor, had histories of other diseases such as diabetes, asthma, and high blood pressure.”

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had on Tuesday announced that nine new cases of the disease were confirmed in Sokoto on Tuesday.

As of Wednesday, the state has a total of 19 confirmed cases.
