Reno Omokri Knocks Presidency Over Comment On Release Of Train Passengers

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has reacted to the comment made by the Presidency on the release of the kidnapped Abuja-Kaduna train passengers.

Naija News earlier reported that Presidential Spokesman, Garba Shehu, had said the Federal Government met all the demands of the terrorists responsible for the Abuja-Kaduna train attack.

In an interview with BBC Hausa service on Friday, Shehu said the negotiations between the government and the terrorists did not yield the expected result.

Shehu also claimed that the leader of the terrorists demanded that his wife, newly born twins and seven other children who were in prison custody be released, which the government complied to.

He, however, stated that the terrorists did not keep their side of the bargain, adding that it is wrong to say that nothing has been done to secure the release of all the captives.

Reacting in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Friday night, Omokri condemned the government for detaining the wife and children of the terrorist leader.

He queried the  Buhari government for holding them on the basis that they are the wife and kids of a terror leader.

He wrote: “A disturbing aspect of that Garba Shehu’s interview is that a pregnant woman and children were detained by the Buhari government on the basis that they are the wife and kids of a terror leader. How did Boko Haram start? Is it not because of injustices like this?
