Rema Settles Rift With Dj Neptune, Promise To Drop Songs Soon

Nigerian fast-rising musician, Rema has confirmed he is now on good terms with popular disk jockey, DJ Neptune.

Naija News had reported earlier that the ‘Dumebi’ crooner born Divine Ikubor, took to social media to accuse DJ Neptune of putting out his intellectual property without his permission.

In a thread of tweets, Rema faulted DJ Neptune for dropping an old song they did together without following due process or consulting him.

This news platform understands DJ Neptune recently dropped his sophomore album, the second volume of his debut piece, Greatness, this morning that features acts like Laycon, Mr Eazi, Patoranking, Bella Shmurda, Adekunle Gold, Blaqbonez, Rema, amongst others.

Reacting on social media, Rema requested that the song be takedown with immediate effect.

The development caused stirs on social media as fans of the two entertainers took sides in the thread of tweets.

However, after a series of reactions, Rema on Sunday (today) confirmed that they have settled their differences.

Rema via his Twitter handle said he was on good terms with DJ Neptune and would drop new songs soon.

He added that any other criticism or agenda after his tweet was based on anyone’s personal emotion towards him.

The singer wrote: “I tried to stop it all behind closed doors for months and I wasn’t listened to, as my record went public so did I. Any Agenda held after this statement is based on your personal emotion towards me. I and @deejayneptune are good and we gonna drop dem bangers when it’s time.”

Also in another post, DJ Neptune alongside screenshots of his discussion with Rema’s manager wrote: “It’s all love on this side! Keep Winning Remy Boi.”
