Phone Contacts Of Police PROs Across All States

Whether for crime reporting, assault by officers or complaint of criminal acts, every Nigerian should have the contact of his/her state police command public relations officer.

To this end, the Force Public Relations Officer, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi on Monday, released the phone lines of all state PROs, Naija News understands.

Adejobi in a post on his Twitter account admonished Nigerians to save the contacts either for themselves or for others around them.

Naija News understands that the State PPROs can be reached on their phone numbers in case of any illegal detention, hostage, or harassment by officers of the law.

More so, we are in an era of rampant criminality, insecurity and public unrest. The shared contacts would be useful to victims of any of such unwanted occurrences.

However, some Nigerians on social media have registered their concerns about the shared contacts by the FPPRO.

Some are of the opinion that the police force should come up with central short codes, numbers that citizens can easily hold to heart in case of any emergency.

Naija News understands that 911 is an emergency telephone number for the United States, Canada, Palau, Argentina, Philippines, Jordan, as well as other regions.

Having such a short code that is easily memorable would help citizens to swiftly report crime scenes and more.
