The presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi has mourned the late Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Abdulrahman Ado Ibrahim.
Naija News earlier reported that Ibrahim died peacefully in the early hours of Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the age of 94.
It was gathered that the monarch passed away around 2 a.m. at a hospital in Abuja, and was buried in his hometown, Okene on Sunday night.
Taking to his official handle, X, the former Anambra State Governor said that the death of Ohinoyi of Ebiraland will surely leave a vacuum that will be felt both in Ebira Land and the nation.
He wrote, “On behalf of my family, I condole with the entire people of Ebira Land, over the death of their Paramount Ruler, The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr Ado Ibrahim, who had successfully led the people since 1997 and the government and people of Kogi, the fortitude to bear his loss.
“His death has surely left a vacuum that will be felt both in Ebira Land and the nation. As he has gone to be with his maker, I pray God Almighty, to forgive his sins and grant him eternal rest, and grant his family, the people of Ebira Land, and the government and people of Kogi, the fortitude to bear his loss. “
