French footballer, Paul Pogba has finally broken his silence regarding the uncertainty around his future club amid his potential departure from Italian Serie A club, Juventus.
Paul Pogba’s ban for testing positive for testosterone has been reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration in Sport (CAS) prompting negotiations to terminate his contract with the Serie A giants.
This has sparked widespread speculation about his next destination, with several European clubs, including Olympique de Marseille in Ligue 1, being linked to the 31-year-old former Manchester United midfielder.
When asked about the possibility of joining Marseille, Pogba seemed open to the idea but noted that he is still contracted to Juventus, meaning he is not permitted to talk about joining another club.
He said, “Marseille? I’m laughing because it’s Uncle Pat, he said that jokingly, you know him! I’m still under contract, so it’s not credible. We don’t know what tomorrow holds, why not play in Ligue 1?”
As it stands, Paul Pogba is keeping his options open and considering a potential move to Ligue 1, while also acknowledging the uncertainty surrounding his future.
With his ban set to end in 2025, Pogba will have the opportunity to resume his football career after losing over two years due to fitness issues and the lingering ban.
