The Vice-President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, on Wednesday, joined the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting virtually days after being discharged from Duchess hospital.
Naija News had earlier reported that Osinbajo had surgery on his femur after sustaining an injury while playing a game of squash.
‘Squash is a racquet sport played by two players (or four players for doubles) on a four-walled court with a small, hollow rubber ball.
‘Once the ball is served, players take turns hitting the ball against the front wall, above the tin and below the out line.’
The Senior Special Assistant on Media, Laolu Akande had confirmed the surgery in a post on his Twitter account.
The Medical Director of Duchess hospital, Dr Adedoyin Dosunmu-Ogunbi, revealed that a team comprising six specialist Doctors performed the surgery on the Vice President.
Osinbajo was discharged on the 25th of July after physiotherapy and a smooth rehabilitation following the surgical operation.
Akande, in a post on his Twitter account on Wednesday, noted that the Vice President joined the FEC meeting virtually.
The media aide wrote, “VP Osinbajo joins Federal Executive Council meeting this morning virtually. President Buhari is presiding.”
