Okorocha’s Daughter Speaks On Her Father’s Arrest

Uloma Nwosu, the daughter of the lawmaker representing Imo West Senatorial District, Rochas Okorocha has condemned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for arresting her father.

Recall that the anti-graft agency invaded the residence of the presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress and arrested him.

EFCC while giving reason for the invasion accused the former governor of Imo State of jumping bail over corruption charges.

Uloma while reacting to Okorocha’s arrest said the EFCC did not present any legal justification for his arrest.

The former governor’s daughter stated this during an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday.

She said, “The way they (EFCC operatives) had presented themselves did not show that it was something that was official, because there was no legal documents supporting their action. So you could say it was illegal battery or whatever we may call it. At this point, I was also scared as well, because it didn’t look official, it didn’t look like something that was done right. So of course we were afraid for His Excellency’s life, and that is why he requested something that was simple: ‘give us a document, give us a paper, a court order.”
