There Are Plots To Attack The Senate – Lawan
Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has called on security agencies to beef up security at the National Assembly.
According to Lawan, he had received reports of security threat to the assembly complex. Through his spokesman, Ola Awoniyi, Lawan spoke at an emergency closed-door meeting the Senate leadership had with top security officials.
Boko Haram Attacks Chibok, Sets ‘Many Houses’ On Fire
Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have attacked Korongilum, a community in Chibok local government area of Borno state, northern Nigeria.
A report monitored on TheCable by Naija News quoted a resident to have said that the insurgents came into the community around 6 pm, shooting sporadically and setting many houses on fire.
