PDP Loses 5,000 Kwankwaso supporters To APC In Kebbi

The Peoples Democratic Party in Kebbi State has lost 5000 of it members belonging to the Kwankwasiya group in the state to the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Kwankwasiyya is the political structure of Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, who represents Kano Central senatorial zone in the National Assembly, and was an aspirant in the recent presidential primaries of the PDP that was won by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Mr Buhari  during his visit to the state today expressed sadness at the loss of lives and property in Kasuwan Magani and the unrest around Kaduna metropolis, demanding an end to wanton killings.

Minimum Wage: Labour Insists On N30,000 Or Nationwide Strike

The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has ruled out the option of entering fresh negotiations with the government on the payment of new minimum wage.

NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, told The Guardian that the organised labour was not invited to the meeting that took place between Osinbajo and the governors on Monday.

Governors Agree N22,500 As Minimum Wage

After prolonged deliberation, the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has pegged the national minimum wage of N22,500 from the existing N18,000.

Governor Abdul’aziz Yari, the chairman of the forum, and governor of Kebbi state made this disclosure at the end of its 2nd emergency meeting held in Abuja.

Buhari Meets with aggrieved APC aspirants In Abuja

Some aggrieved aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded party’s primaries across the country has met with President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that those in attendance at the dinner included aggrieved gubernatorial, National and State Assembly aspirants who failed to secure the party’s tickets in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
