U.S. Senate Acquits Trump Of Impeachment Charges
The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has been acquitted of charges leveled against him by the House of Representatives.
Naija News had earlier reported that the House of Representatives in December 2019 impeached Trump for Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Congress.
Police Charge Wadume, Army Captain With Terrorism
The Taraba kidnap Kingpin, Bala Hamisu, popularly known as Wadume and Captain Tijjani Balarabe and 18 others have been slammed with 16 counts bordering on terrorism, murder, kidnapping, and illegal arms.
The suit against the kidnapper and the Army captain was filed by the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.
Osinbajo Tells Policy Elites What To Do About Nigeria’s Insecurity
Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s Vice President has urged Nigeria’s policy elites to raise their voices loud enough in matters that seriously concern the nation, especially regarding issues of national unity.
He noted that while politicians will be in office for a time, the policy and intellectual elites would always be around and should not leave public discourse to politicians.

The six lawmakers of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Imo State House of Assembly has denied defecting to the All Progressives Congress.
The lawmakers in a statement on Tuesday condemned the Speaker of the house over the report that they had decided to join the ruling party.

The Imo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has condemned the recent fire outbreak at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Orlu Local Government Area of the state.
The party described the fire outbreak at the INEC office as a major characteristic associated with the All Progressives Congress.
