COVID-19: House Of Reps Consider 2-Month Free Power Supply Bill
The House of Representatives on Saturday in Abuja considered a bill that will ensure that Nigerians get free electricity supply for two months following the sit-at-home measure across Nigeria.
The Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila, noted that the proposed bill will help in boosting the economy through the informal sector as the country prepares for the aftermath of the coronavirus.
Coronavirus: FG Speaks On The Decision To Invite Chinese Medical Experts
Dr Garba Abari, Director-General, National Orientation Agency, has revealed why the Federal Government is inviting Chinese medical experts over the fight against Coronavirus in Nigeria.
Abari on Saturday noted that the federal government is not importing the Chinese medical experts to take charge of the fight against COVID-19.
Enugu Health Commissioner Died Of Chronic Kidney Disease – Family
The family of the late Enugu State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Anthony Ugochukwu, has spoken on his death.
Dr Kingsley C. Ugochukwu, in a statement released on behalf of the family, noted that the deceased who died on 3rd of April, 2020, died “after a prolonged but valiant battle with chronic kidney disease”.
Nigeria Records Five New Coronavirus Cases
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday night confirmed five new cases of the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19).

Boko Haram: Army Troops Destroy ISWAP Camp In Borno State
A camp belonging to the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) at Tumbun Fulani on the fringes of Lake Chad in Northern Borno has been destroyed by the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole (OPLD) and Artillery Batteries of Sector 3 of the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF).
This was confirmed in a statement on Saturday by the Acting Director, Defence Media Operations, Brig.-Gen. Bernard Onyeuko, in a statement on Saturday in Abuja.
