INEC Fixes Date For Kogi West Supplementary Re-run Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed Saturday, November 30, for the conduct of the Kogi West supplementary rerun election.

Naija News reports that the electoral umpire fixed the date for the election in a statement issued on Thursday evening in Abuja by Festus Okoye, the National Commissioner and Chairman of the Commission’s Information and Voter Education Committee.

High Court Sacks Kano Emirs Installed By Ganduje

The High Court in Kano has on Thursday declared illegal the four emirate councils newly created by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

Presiding Judge, Justice Usman N’aaba in nullifying the councils, held that the appointment of the four new Emirs, was illegal as the governor and state assembly failed to follow due process in the creation of the Emirates.

Edo APC Caucus In National Assembly Declares Support For Oshiomhole

The Edo State All Progressives Congress Caucus in the National Assembly have declared support for the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole.

The caucus which was led by the Deputy Majority Leader of the House, Peters Akpatason, and supported by Johnson Aguma and Julius Ihonvbere spoke with newsmen at the National Assembly complex on Thursday.
