Suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari has seen the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) mark six of his residential houses and one plaza located in Maiduguri for investigation.
NDLEA marked the two-storey shopping plaza, Assurance Plaza, located along the Giwa Barracks Road in Maiduguri for investigation in the ongoing case filed against the former leader of the IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT).
It was gathered that six houses located within the Maiduguri New Government Residential Area allegedly belong to Kyari.
The buildings were marked for investigation a few hours after NDLEA arrested a billionaire businessman linked to the ₦3billion worth of tramadol intercepted by Kyari’s men in Lagos State.
Naija News had earlier reported that NDLEA apprehended the billionaire at the Murtala Mohammed terminal in Ikeja after months of surveillance and evading arrest.
The drug law enforcement agency noted that the suspect has been a major importer of Hydrochloride, ranging from 120mg, 200mg, 225mg and 250mg.
NDLEA alleged that the suspect uses his pharmaceutical and plastic manufacturing companies to import illicit drugs into Nigeria.
