MC Oluomo: NURTW Suspends Kunle Poly, Blame Him For Attack On Lagos APC Rally

A factional leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos state, Azeez Lawal a.k.a Kunle Poly has been suspended by the union’s national leadership.

Kunle Poly was accused by the leadership of the union of been responsible for last week’s attack at the Lagos APC rally where some journalists and others including another NURTW official, Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) were wounded.

President of the NURTW, Najeem Yasin, announced the suspension of Kunle Poly after a five-hour meeting with the Lagos state Executive and elders of the union.

The union also resolved to set up a committee that will investigate the immediate and remote causes of the disruption and attack at the All Progressives’ Congress rally in Lagos.

Furthermore, it warned political parties to desist from engaging its members as political thugs, stressing that the union remains apolitical.

Meanwhile, Naija News reports that following several rumours particularly on social media, it has been confirmed that MC Oluomo is alive and recuperating in the hospital after the attack at the Lagos APC rally where he was stabbed.
