Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp Crowned FIFA Best Coach For 2019

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool football club, has been named Best FIFA Men’s coach.

Naija News reports that Klopp beat off competition from two other finalists, Pep Guardiola of Manchester City and Mauricio Pochettino of Tottenham Hotspur to clinch the award at the ceremony in Teatro all Scala in Milan, Italy.

On the other hand, the coach of the United States women’s team, Jill Ellis, was named TheBest FIFA Women’s Coach 2019, beating finalists Dutch women’s coach Sarina Wiegman and England women’s coach Phil Neville.

In a related development, Argentine and Barcelona forward, Lionel Messi has been crowned TheBest FIFA Men’s Player 2019.

Naija News reports that Messi beat off competition from UEFA’s best player Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool and his eternal rival Cristiano Ronaldo of Juventus to pick up this year’s award.

Similarly, the FIFA Fan Award 2019 went to Silvia Grecco while FIFA best female keeper was Sari van Veenendaal, keeper of the Dutch national team

On the other hand, FIFA gave that FIFA Fairplay award to coach Marcelo Bielsa and championship club, Leeds United for their actions v Aston Villa in The Championship last season.
