PDP Governorship Aspirant, Dagogo Taken To Hospital From Police Custody

A governor aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State, Farah Dagogo has been taken to the hospital from police custody.

Recall that the lawmaker representing Degema/Bonny Constituency was arrested last Thursday on the order of the state Governor, Nyesom Wike.

Dagogo was arrested during the screening of governorship aspirants at the party secretariat in Port Harcourt.

2023 Presidency: ‘Collect Your Money Back’ – Igbo Group Rejects Tinubu’s Endorsement

The Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has rejected a purported endorsement of the national leader of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, by the Igbo race to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

The group admonished the former Lagos State governor to get a refund of his money from any individual or group that have assured him of support from the southeastern region.

In a statement obtained by Naija News on Wednesday, May 4, Ohanaeze reiterated that it is against the emergence of any presidential aspirant that is not from the region.

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, has officially declared his intention to run for 2023 presidency through the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The two-time former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Akpabio, made the declaration at Ikot Ekpene town in the south-southern state on Wednesday.

2023: APC Had An Agreement On Zoning In 2015 – Ndume

The lawmaker representing Borno South senatorial district, Ali Ndume, has disclosed that the All Progressives Congress had an agreement on zoning in 2015.

According to Ndume, the agreement was not written in 2015, it was followed that the North should produce the president.

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Army while reacting to the plan by the ruling party to jettison zoning said, it would be unfair, injustice and betrayal of trust and gentleman agreement if APC zones its ticket to the North.
