1. Biafra Remembrance Day: Fani-Kayode Gives Detailed Account of ‘Biafra War’

A former Nigerian Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has given his own side of the “Biafra war” story which led to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and other pro-Biafra activists setting aside today, May 30 as Biafra Remembrance Day, to sit-at-home in honour of their fallen heroes. Naija News had reported earlier that IPOB declared May 30 as sit-at-home day throughout the Southeast referred to as “Biafraland” by pro-Biafra activists and Nigeria in remembrance of its fallen heroes and heroines.

2. Biafra: See What Onitsha, Other Cities Look Like As IPOB Observes Sit-At-Home (Photos)

Naija News observed a total lockdown of activities in Onitsha, Anambra state in compliance with the sit-at-home order given by the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB). Recall as previously reported by this online platform, IPOB ordered the sit-at-home in remembrance of those who have died in the continued struggle for a sovereign Biafra.

3. Enugu Residents Shun Biafra Remembrance Day

Residents of Enugu metropolis on Thursday shunned the 2019 Biafra Remembrance day when they went about their normal activities and disregarded the sit-at-home order issued by the prescribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Naija News understands that the proscribed group had in a statement, directed the residents to observe a sit-at-home order in memory of those who lost their lives in the Nigeria-Biafra war from 1967 to 1970.

4. Biafra: How Nsukka Residents Responded To IPOB’s Sit-At-Home Order

The sit-at-home-order declared by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was today ignored in Nsukka town of Enugu state as Residents went about their normal businesses. Naija News recalls that the IPOB had declared May 30 to honour its fallen heroes and heroines during the war, maintaining that no arrest or threat by the Police will stop them.
