#KogiDecides2023: Election Observer Applauds INEC, Security Agencies

An election observer, Stephen Ojo, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for efficiently overseeing the Kogi State governorship election.

The election observer representing the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) applauded INEC and the security agencies involved in overseeing the Kogi State governorship election for their efficient and peaceful management of the electoral process.

Speaking to reporters at the Anagbe Mech/Moremi Rest Open Space, near mechanic polling unit 008 on Saturday, Ojo highlighted the timely arrival of INEC officials and election materials.

He specifically acknowledged the flawless operation of the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS).

Ojo remarked, “I must commend INEC and the security agencies for their efforts in ensuring a smooth 2023 governorship poll in Kogi State. The BVAS is functioning well, and INEC officials were punctual. Currently, there is peace in Lokoja, thanks to the dedicated security personnel.”

It was learned that there was a low voter turnout at the aforementioned polling unit as of the time of filing this report.
