It is with a heightened sense of expectation that Nigerians await the Kogi State gubernatorial election as November 11 draws closer.
One of the major contenders in the upcoming election is Murtala Ajaka,
Ajaka, born in 1981, was the former All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy National Publicity Secretary.
He, however, dumped the party for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) after losing in the gubernatorial primaries. 
He was subsequently anointed the governorship candidate of the SDP.
Ajaka completed his schooling at a private high school before venturing into higher education. Details about the politician early life and family are limited.
His interest also extends to the cinema and he counts Robert John Downey Jr. as his favorite actor and Natalie Portman as his favorite actress.
He enjoys African cuisine and has named the United Kingdom as his favorite place.

He envisions a future in which everyone has access to high-quality education and healthcare, as well as a business climate that is welcoming to entrepreneurs and promotes the creation of new employment and increased economic activity.
The comprehensive plan produced by Ajaka comprises a number of infrastructure development measures. These initiatives will increase connections across the state, promote trade and commerce, and attract investors.
