The murdered Katsina State Commissioner of Science and Technology, Dr Rabe Nasir, has been buried.
The slain commissioner was laid to rest according to Islamic rite at the Gidan Dawa cemetery in Katsina metropolis on Friday.
Earlier, special prayers led by the Chief Imam of Katsina GRA mosque, Dr Aminu Abdullahi Yammawa, were offered for the repose of the late commissioner’s soul.
Prayers were also made for God to help President Muhamamdu Buhari solve the security challenges facing the country and to expose those behind the insecurity in the country.
Dignitaries who attended the funeral prayer were Governor Aminu Bello Masari and the Federal Government delegation led by the National Security Adviser, Maj Gen. Babagana Monguno (Rtd).
The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali baba, DG DSS, Yusuf Magaji Bichi, DG NIA, Amb. Ahmed Rufa’I Abubakarand CDI, Major Gen. Samuel Adebayo, were also in attendance.
Naija News recalls that suspected bandit terrorists, on Thursday, killed the Katsina State Commissioner at his residence.
It was learned that the terrorists murdered the commissioner inside his home located in Fatima Shema Estate in Katsina metropolis.
According to reports, Nasir was stabbed in the stomach in his sitting room while his body was dragged into a toilet where it was locked.
