The Senator who previously represented Kaduna central in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has pleaded with Governor Abdullahi Ganduje to forgive the Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi ll.
The former lawmaker who urged the two leaders to sheath their swords, noted that power is transient and any one of them might need each other in the future.
Sani made the call via his Twitter account on Friday where he noted: “Dear Brother @GovUmarGanduje, forgive, forget and move on and let the Emir be. Power is transient. You May need him tomorrow when everyone has left.”

Naija News recalls the Kano State Governor and the Emir have been at loggerheads for a long period of time over some undisclosed issues.
The Governor had created 4 extra Emirates from the Kano Emirate under the leadership of Emir Sanusi which was seen in many quarters as a move to limit the Emir’s influence and power.
The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has also instituted a fresh probe into an alleged N2.2bn land scam against the Emir.
The first-class traditional ruler was expected to appear before the commission’s team of investigators yesterday but didn’t appear, requesting for another day. However, the commission still insisted on Friday that the Emir must appear before it for questioning on March 9th, 2020.
Previously, the Kano anti-graft agency investigated the emir over what it called “questionable” expenditure of about N3.4 billion fraud from the Emirate Council fund.
