Residents have brought down the statue of the Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha.
This comes after the state governor’s son-in-law, Uche Nwosu lost the governorship seat of the state and his (Okorocha)’s Senate victory was unrecognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Reports also confirmed to Naija News that the campaign posters of Okorocha, billboard and banners were also destroyed after his son-in-law’s defeat in Imo state.
Recall that the Imo state governor who won the February 23 senatorial polls was not listed by INEC following allegations by the returning officer for the election, Prof Francis Ibeawuchi suggesting that he was forced to declare Okorocha as the winner.
Similarly, Naija News had reported that Uche Nwosu who lost the Imo state governorship election has vowed to challenge the result in court.
Nwosu while expressing his reaction to his defeat in the election, vowed to challenge the outcome of the election in court.
Nwosu who has vowed to challenge the outcome of the Saturday, March 9 election in a court of competent jurisdiction, seems not to agree with the fact that his closest viral and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Emeka Ihedioha won the governorship race in the state.
