The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the Imo governorship election, Senator Athan Achonu, has arrived at his Polling Unit to vote.
Naija News reports that the former Senator and his wife arrived at his polling unit, PU008, Numo Primary School, Umunomu, Ehime-Mbano LGA, Imo state at 10:16 a.m.
The Saturday election is contested between Anyanwu of the PDP, Governor Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Senator Athan Achonu of the Labour Party (LP).

A former Deputy National Chairman, South, of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Emma Eneukwu, has called on residents of Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi states to ensure that they wield their democratic power as they go to the polls today, Saturday.
He insisted that the electorates play a critical role in shaping the destinies of Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi.
Eneukwu stated this via a statement he personally signed, which was made available to Naija News on Saturday.
He urged the people of Imo State to uphold the existing momentum by casting their votes in support of Governor Hope Uzodinma.
