Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland has stressed that he doesn’t regret clashing with Arsenal’s defender, Gabriel.
Recall that before the October international break, Erling Haaland found himself in the spotlight after a controversial incident involving Arsenal defender Gabriel during a Premier League clash.
The match ended in a 2-2 draw, with City coming from behind to secure a point against 10-man Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.
The tension escalated when, following John Stones’ last-gasp equalizer, Haaland was captured on camera throwing the ball against Gabriel’s head before swiftly retreating from the scene.
While Gabriel downplayed the incident by claiming he couldn’t recall what had happened, Haaland has stressed that what happened on the pitch should remain on the pitch.
Speaking at a press conference while on international duty with Norway, the Manchester City striker said: “I don’t regret much in life.
“In the heat of the moment, things happened in that game.
“What happens on the pitch, stays on the pitch. That’s how it is.”
Erling Haaland will be in action for his country, Norway on Thursday, October 10, 2024, when they take on Slovenia at 7:45 p.m. The UEFA Nations League match is scheduled to take place at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo, Norway.
