Nigerian singer, Oladipo Olamide Emmanuel, popularly known as Chinko Ekun, has shared a testimony of his grace to grass and how he battled depression.
Naija News reports that the singer recounted his ordeal during a Church service at Harvesters International Christian Centre.
The ‘Able God’ crooner said he had an issue with YBNL record label boss, Olamide and he lost all his properties, including his car, house, and his record deal.
According to him, he battled depression and would sometimes recall how he was vibing in the entertainment space, from being booked for numerous shows to flying jets and also being paid for doing what he loves.
However, things grew worst as he started squatting with Davido’s former manager, Aloma, and sleeping on the floor.
Chinko Ekun revealed that he also got frustrated with the challenging times and considered committing suicide.
The singer added that he thought about jumping into the Lagos Lagoon and not too long God intervened in his life and changed his story.
Portable Speaks On His Music Career
Meanwhile, controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable has shed more light on his music career.
The street-hop singer stated that he does not have a plan B if the music does not work for him.
He announced this on his Instagram page while also maintaining that music, for him, is a do-or-die affair.
The Zazuu crooner argued that he can fight his battle himself without any external help from colleagues and allies in the industry.
Portable advised his fans to learn to stand on their own because nobody else can change their situation but themselves.
