The former Governor of Adamawa State, Jibrilla Bindow has allegedly dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Naija News Learnt that Bindow allegedly joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to support the state Governor, Umaru Fintiri in his re-election bid.
Bindow reportedly announced his support for Governor Fintiri through a delegation of 250 leaders of his support groups.
The leader of the delegation, Abdullahi Bakari while speaking at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Yola on Monday said the visit is on the directive of their principal.
Bakari disclosed that Bindow asked them convey his appreciation to Governor Fintiri for ensuring the completion of projects he inherited across the state.
The delegations noted that they are also supporting the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar in his presidential bid.
They described Atiku as their leader over the years who needs their support in his presidential ambition.

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has explained why he personally attended the campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State on Monday.
Speaking at the palace of the Lamido of Adamawa, the President was quoted to have said he was in the state to support the party’s governorship candidate, Aisha Binani as well as all other candidates of the APC for the 2023 election.
He stressed that it is important to support Binani to emerge as the first female Governor in Nigeria which according to President Buhari will send a strong message to the world about Nigeria’s democracy.
