FIFA U-20 World Cup: Nigeria Draws USA, Qatar, Ukraine

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have been grouped alongside Ukraine, Qatar and the United States of Nigeria at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, Naija News understands.

The tournament will begin on May 23, 2019 and end on June 15, 2019 and will be held across six venues in Poland.

Hosts Poland will face Colombia in the opening match on 23 May and have been drawn in the same group as Senegal – all three sides met at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russi during the group stage.

Other African flag bearers to the tournament, Mali and South Africa found themselves in Group E and F respectively.

Mali, debutants to the U-20 competition and champions of Africa will trade tackles with Panama, France and Saudi Arabia in Group E, while South Africa will face Argentina, Portugal and Korea Republic in Group F

The U-20 World Cup 2019 will take place from 23 May to 15 June in Poland, with at least seven matches to be played in each of the six host cities. Both the opening game and the final will be held in Lodz, while Bielsko-Biala, Bydgoszcz, Gdynia, Lublin and Tychy will all stage at least two matches with a seeded team.
