Femi Fani-Kayode has berated individuals accusing ex-Presidential Reno Omokri of making money from the campaign to free Leah Sharibu from Boko Haram captivity.
Naija News had reported that some Nigerians accused Omokri of making money with Leah Sharibu, the Dapchi schoolgirl, who was kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists last year.
Reacting to the accusation, Omokri said he made ₦1 million from the book “Leah Sharibu: The Girl Boko Haram Left Behind” and that the money was transferred to Leah’s mother.
Adding his voice in a post on Twitter on Saturday, Fani-Kayode described allegations against Omokri as absurd.
He wrote: “I don’t agree with Reno Omokri on everything but one thing I assure you is that he is not a rogue.
“The allegation by some faceless and disgusting little creature from hell that he acted fraudulently in the free #LeahSharibu campaign is absurd.
“It is nothing but a vicious smear!”
