Earlier, supporters of the new APC national chairman had trooped to the national headquarters in excitement to await his arrival after his emergence.

The jubilant supporters who were dressed in Babaringa, customised campaign shirts and caps to match, were seen chanting and dancing around the secretariat.

The former Kano governor, and the Spokesperson for the ninth Senate, Senator Ajibola Basiru, were officially ratified to replace the immediate past National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, and former National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore.

Addressing party leaders after his emergence, the APC National Chairman promised that internal democracy would prevail in the party during his tenure.

The former Kano governor pledged to ensure a scientific register of party members and pay utmost attention to election management and conflict resolution.

The former Kano governor also thanked President Bola Tinubu and other leaders of the party for finding him worthy to be elected as the new party chairman.

Ganduje, therefore, promised to hit the ground running to ensure victory for the party in all forthcoming governorship elections across the country, adding that there would be a level playing field for all party members during party primaries.
