Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Dunsin Oyekan on Monday advised people to speak up on things they are going through.
Dunsin made this call in a post on his Instagram account while reacting to the death of gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu.
There had been reports that the singer died after allegedly suffering domestic violence from her husband.
Osinachi’s sister claimed that the deceased died as a result of a cluster of blood in the chest from the kicking she got from her husband, Peter Nwachukwu.
Dunsin advised people share their ordeal with people who can help them out with the issue.
He wrote, “We must all learn not to keep things that we are passing through away from people who can help.
“Friends, please speak up! It is well.”
Meanwhile, the Federal Capital Territory command has arrested the husband of the singer, Peter Nwachukwu.
The development was confirmed by the spokesperson of the command, DSP Josephine Adeh.
She said: “The man, Peter Nwachukwu is currently in our custody. A family member of the deceased lodged a report for culpable homicide at Lugbe police station.
“Following the complaint, we arrested the suspect and the investigation is currently ongoing. We will make findings public.”
