A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rotimi Fasakin, is reportedly dead.
Naija News reports that Rotimi, a close ally to the President, Muhammadu Buhari, died on Saturday in London, United Kingdom.
Confirming the latest development, his close ally, Eyitayo Ajayi shared the news of Rotimi’s demise on his Facebook page on Sunday.
He wrote: “I lost my brother Engr Rotimi Fashakin last night. I pray God to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.”
The APC chieftain was said to be studying Law at the University of Buckingham in London and was billed to graduate in December 2022.
Rotimi Fasakin had once served as the spokesman to the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC).
The CPC later merged with the Action Congress of Nigeria and the All Nigeria Peoples Party to form the APC.
He also served as a member of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation and was the immediate Executive Director, Operation of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
We Will Not Be Responding To Frivolities
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign, Senator Dino Melaye, has described the allegations of Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike from his recent famous interview as frivolities.
Naija News recalls that on Friday, Wike had made various allegations against the flag bearer of the party, Atiku Abubakar and its national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
Wike also accused Ayu of being very corrupt.
Reacting, Dino, while fielding questions on Arise TV Morning Show program, said on Monday that the governor’s accusations did not make any sense.
The PDP chieftain explained that the party does not have time to respond to Wike’s frivolities, insisting that they are more focused on the party’s campaigns.
Dino stated that the governor’s allegations were simply made out of anger.
