It will be recalled that Dagogo was arrested at the PDP South-South zonal secretariat in Port Harcourt after he was declared wanted by Governor Nyesom Wike.

Wike had accused him of sponsoring thugs and cultists to attack the state party secretariat during the screening for National Assembly and State House of Assembly aspirants.

Dagogo however denied the accusation, stating that he was not at the party secretariat as the screening done on Wednesday doesn’t concern him.

In a counter-accusation, the lawmaker in a statement released through his media aide, Ibrahim Lawal on Thursday accused Governor Wike of planning to blackmail him ahead of the screening of governorship aspirants of the party.

He also charged the commissioner of police in the state to arrest and investigate the activities of Efeturi Irikefe, Camp Commandant to the Governor at the Party’s Secretariat on the said date.
