Coronavirus: Trump Suspends Immigration To US

The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has announced that immigration to the US will be temporarily suspended to protect the jobs of Americans.

The development was revealed by Trump in a post on his Twitter account on Monday, he noted that the decision
was made in order to avoid “the attack from the invisible enemy”.

He said, “In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States.”

President Trump did not state the mechanism that will be used to suspend immigration, how long the suspension would last.

This is coming after the White House noted that the worst of Coronavirus is over and the country can begin reopening.

Recall that Trump had halted funding to the World Health Organization, he further stated that WHO failed in its basic duty” in its response to the coronavirus outbreak.
