The Lagos State government under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has unveiled plans to fumigate the state to prevent further spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
This was disclosed by the governor himself in a tweet on Thursday where he assured that every part of the metropolis will be sterilized.
“To ensure we keep our environment safe and curtail the contagion of #COVID19, we are deploying disinfectant equipment to fumigate the entire state.”
“These fumigation machines, will be deployed to every part of the metropolis for sterilization of our public spaces & surfaces,” Sanwo-Olu noted.

Meanwhile, Naija News also reports that the Lagos State Government has revealed that six patients at the Infectious Disease Hospital have recovered and will be discharged.
This was made known by the Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Health, Dr Tunde Ajayi.
In a post on his Twitter handle, Ajayi wrote: “Six of our #COVID19 inpatients have recovered and will be discharged soon. There is something Lagos is doing right. Lagos takes the lead.”
