President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to congratulate the newly-inaugurated Governor of Osun State, Ademola Jackson Adeleke.
Naija News reports that Adeleke and his deputy, Kola Adewusi, were sworn in by the state Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Adepele-Ojo, at the Osogbo City Stadium on Sunday.
The governor and his deputy were inaugurated amid cheers from the crowd of supporters who besieged the venue of the ceremony.
In his inaugural speech, governor Adeleke promised to correct the injustices done to the people of the state by the Gboyega Oyetola-led administration.
The governor also vowed to address all wrong policies and corruption acts perpetrated by the Gboyega Oyetola-led administration.
He assured the people of the state that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government would meet their expectations as he assume the mantle of leadership.
Governor Adeleke said his government would address the challenges facing the education, health, mining sector, agriculture, road infrastructure, supply of potable water, and other sectors in the state.
He promised that his administration will demonstrate a high sense of urgency, transparency, justice, and innovation to tackle and solve the problems of poverty, illiteracy, disease, and poor infrastructure in the state.
However, as of the time of filing this report, President Buhari has not congratulated Governor Adeleke on his assumption of office.
