Breaking News: Nigeria Recalls Ambassador To South Africa

Reports reaching Naija News indicate that Nigeria’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Ambassador Kabiru Bala, has been recalled by the Nigerian authority.

Naija News understands that Ambassador Bala was recalled following the xenophobic attacks melted on Nigerians in South Africa.

A presidency source disclosed this on a condition of anonymity on Wednesday.

The source also revealed that the Nigerian government has also demanded full compensation for the victims of the attacks.

The anonymous source revealed these as the outcome of the early Wednesday’s meeting with Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s president, his vice, Yemi Osinbajo, and Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama.

The meeting was aimed at brainstorming on the raging Xenophobic attacks of Nigeria in South Africa.

Naija News recalls that Nigeria’s ex-Deputy Senate President, Dr. Ike Ekweremadu has advised the Nigerian government to stop every form of diplomatic relations with its South African counterpart in the wake of the renewed xenophobic attacks.
