Lagos State has recorded four new Coronavirus death, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the state to twenty-five.
Naija News reports that the Lagos State Health Ministry (LSMOH) announced this on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, on Saturday, May 2.
This online news platform understands that the tweet also revealed that 30 cases of Coronavirus in Lagos, were recorded on Friday, May 1.
The LSMOH tweeted: “Unfortunately, 4 #COVID19 deaths were recorded. This brings total number of #COVID19 related deaths in Lagos to 25

Meanwhile, the Lagos State government led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has the largest number of coronavirus cases (1006) recorded by a state in Nigeria with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirming 238 new COVID-19 cases in Nigeria on Friday.
The NCDC tweeted: “238 new cases of #COVID19; 92-Kano 36-FCT 30-Lagos 16-Gombe 10-Bauchi 8-Delta 6-Oyo 5-Zamfara 5-Sokoto 4-Ondo 4-Nasarawa 3-Kwara 3-Edo 3-Ekiti 3-Borno 3-Yobe 2-Adamawa 1-Niger 1-Imo 1-Ebonyi 1-Rivers 1-Enugu 2170 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria Discharged: 351 Deaths: 68,” the tweet added.
