A top commander of the Civilian Joint Task Force, Ibrahim Maliya has been killed by Boko Haram fighters after a recent bombing along Biu-Damboa Road in Borno State, Northeast Nigeria.
It was gathered that Maliya before his death was supportive to security agencies in their fight against terrorism and other insecurity related issues rocking southern Borno.
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Kudla Milinda, while reacting to his death, condoled with the people of Biu local government area.
Milinda in a statement released on Wednesday described the death of the JTF fighter as a huge loss to Southern Borno.
The statement reads, “Though his demise is painful, his legacies of service, love and compassion remain indelible as he has impacted the younger generation to continue in his footsteps. May his gentle soul rest in Jannah.”
